kick off Complete- ARMA Jacksonville chapter is on the field, 1st and Goal!

Thank you for attending ARMA Jacksonville's kick-off meeting. Michael DeVanna, MLS, CRM, presented "The Value of Being a Certified Records Manager". Michael discussed the marketability, supply and demand, value, and ROI of certification: "There are, at present, 37 active CRMs in Florida". Michael also shared how to achieve Certificate Records Analyst and/or Certified Records Manager status. From Michael's encouraging and enlightening presentation, a Study Group was born- Members are welcome to join Michael and six students (thus far) every other Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00 at the Southeast Regional Branch Library, 10599 Deerwood Park Boulevard.

Our October meeting featured Margaret Meier's presentation, "Confidential Economical Ecological: The Benefits of Secure Disposition". Margaret Meier, President of UltraShred Technologies, Inc., and myself, will discuss "SITAD" Secure IT Asset Destruction,confidential (privacy and compliance). ecological (conservation and preservation), and economical (costs reduction) of records disposition. Guest speakers Dan Durbec of the City of Jacksonville and Sherri Nicholson of New Age Hippy, will share details on next month's community shred event - America Recycles Day!
